The Procedure
Incisions are made either around the nipple, in the crease or in the armpit. A pocket-like area is created by lifting the breast tissue and skin and the implant is inserted into this pocket. As mentioned earlier, the implant can be inserted directly under the breast tissue or beneath the chest wall muscle.
The risks associated with augmentation procedure include capsular contracture, swelling and pain due to excessive bleeding after the operation, or the patient can even develop an infection around the implant where the removing of implant for a few days until the problem is solved and replacing it later can be a solution. However, over sensitiveness, under sensitiveness or numbness of the nipple can disappear in due course or can be permanent too in some people
